Ethernet is a great medium for transporting digital audio data. This is true in part due to the fact that isolation is built into the specification. However, it’s possible to improve the sound of your listening system even more by using Ethernet isolators to decouple noisy components from your audio playback hardware.
Our isolators employ 4 transformers to decouple each of the 4 twisted pears in a CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable. They maintain gigabit speeds, and auto-sensing as well. (They do not pass Power over Ethernet. So if you are using any PoE devices, you’ll need to apply power after the isolator.) They provide 4 kV of isolation.
